Nowadays we meet a lot of people that reflect this topic, that aren’t what they seem to be. At first when we meet someone we imagine a person but when we get to know their character we think that the person that we imagined doesn’t exist.
So we say that appearances can be deceptive.
When a person that you imagine is a good person and you trust her and afterwards this person disappoints you, you think that this person isn’t what you imagined and you are disappointed.

Avui en dia, els jocs d'ordinador són molt populars, però on es van originar o com van venir? La història comença el 1979, quan Roberta Williams, la mestressa de dos nens, de sobte es va interessar per l'entreteniment.
It was around this time that the Apple computer was becoming a popular item in people's homes.

Well, there are many options to spend your free time; you can choose one activity or another depending on what you.
I spend my free time riding a horse, it’s my favourite sport because I like horses a lot. At the weekend, I have my free time and on Saturday in the morning, I start the day riding a horse. I go to the riding school Aiguamolls from nine a.m. until 1 a.m or 6 p.m. depending if I have more free time or not because sometimes I have to study and I can’t go to the riding school all the day. I love riding a horse.
Now, I have a horse, he’s called Omar but I borrowed him. Because his owner is in France and she has a lot of work and she told me that I could teach a horse, and I was very happy!!! .Because Omar is progressing very well.
The way that I spend my free time is with horses.

BRITISH HUMOUR
The topics which we can find in the world of British humour are:
· Irony: Irony is the core of Humour, it consists of meaning the opposite to what we are saying. We can see a difference in the intonation and body language when irony has an aggressive intention it is called sarcasm but after we say it. Normally irony is written with exclamations to emphasize the irony.
Example: Charlie Chaplin: was a character who when he talked with irony in his films like City likes. This film represents a dramatic irony.
· Bullying and harsh sarcasm: the sarcasm is a language intended to mock, wound, or subject to contempt or ridicule, generally saying the opposite of what the statement really is.
Example:
- Blackadder , comedy TV series: this comedy was translated in Catalan “Escurçó” and it was a TV3 series, nowadays we can see it on 300. And this comedy we can find Mr Bean, a very important person in this world because he was a start.
- Tom Sharpe: he is a written and he has the ability to laugh at the absurdities at life and at oneself. His most important books are: The Wilt and The Grope. We can say that Grope is a book that he dedicated to the medial assistance in Catalonia.
· Smut and innuendo: it consists of sexual and scatological themes.
Example: Carry on: is a long-running series of low-budget British comedy films. They are an energetic mix of parody , farce and slapstick. And we can find British comedy postcard also.
· Disrespect to members of the establishment: it refers to disrespect to members of the establishment and authority.
Example: Not the Nine O’clock news: It originated in 1972 to 1982. This comedy series made the originals episodes and its moment that was the news at the time. We can emphasize the Mr Bean character and others.
· The absurd: is a genre of comedy that relies upon "a violation of causal reasoning," with events that are "logically inappropriate”. It’s absurd and surreal.
Example: Green Wing: an experimental sitcom that utilizes surrealism.
Monty Python: it was a British television comedy. For example Monty Python sketch “dead parrot” In this sketch, a man tries to make another man believe that a parrot is dead. Here is a transcript of this sketch.
· The macabre: consists of Black Humour, in which topics and events that are usually treated seriously are treated in a humorous way.
Example: Death at a funeral it’s a film that reflects black humour. Because very serious topics like death are shown with humour.
· The humour inherent in everyday life: The humour, not necessarily apparent to the participants, inherent in everyday life.
Example: The Prince of Belair it was a comedy series showing a family and their problems in everyday life (drugs, adolescents, ) with humour. The Simpsons
· The British Class system: consists of making fun of the situation in the class system.
· The embarrassment of social ineptitude: consists of the embarrassment of social ineptitude.
Example: Mr. Bean: it was a British comedy television series that made fun of all kinds of situations.
· The lovable rogue: consisted of making fun of love.
Example:The Likely Lads was a black and white British sitcom.
· Making fun of foreigners: Making fun of foreigners is especially common in television sitcoms and films of the 1970s.
Example: 'Allo 'Allo! is a British sitcom broadcast on BCC from 1982 to 1992. It was a serie comedy set during World War II. This series made fun of the French.
Conclusion: If we can’t find British humour on a television comedy series, can find it in magazines or postcards or on radio stations. We can see that there are many topics than we can find on television. The general conclusion is that the topics that are most successful are irony with Charlie Chaplin, the humour inherent everyday life with The Prince of Bel air and the Simpsons and the British class system and the embarrassment of social ineptitude with Mr. Bean. I said these topics because they are the topics that arrived in Europe and they also had success.
If we have enough time we can see a video of Mr. Bean.

Well, I will talk about a written character called Tom Sharpe. I will explain this character because he is related with my topic of presentation Oral, British Humour. Tom Sharpe writes satire and sham. The people called him like the satire and sham. Sharpe has the ability to laugh at the absurdities at life and at oneself. So it explains his success with his books. His most important books are: the Wilt and Grope. We can say that Grope is a book that he dedicated to the medical assistance in Catalonia.
When he was small, he lived with his parents in England. Tom Sharpe likes to write and read. One of his aunts who was rich, paid for him to go to a boarding school and he learnt a lot. He stayed there until he was eighteen years old and for ten years his family didn’t go to visit him and he was very sad and now he is a solitary person. He married a French woman who was rich, but they broke up because Tom Sharpe dedicated all his time to his books. Afterwards he married again to an Englishwoman and they had two daughters and they lived in England.
But many years later, Tom Sharpe bought a house in Llafranc, Baix Empordà. Then Tom Sharpe moved to Catalonia and he fell in love with the landscape and the stillness. And he has lived alone in Catalonia, so he can write quietly and now he communicates with his family with phone mobile. He said when he was young he wrote a book very quickly, it took him a month to finish a book. But now, he takes more time. The other cause is he has lived in Catalonia because he admires the attention of doctor with their patients. He explains that if he didn’t live in Catalonia and he lived in England he would probably be dead by now because he told us that one day he had a heart attack and the Catalonian doctor visited him at 3 a.m and he related that in England the doctor wouldn’t visit him until morning. So we can appreciate the medical assistance in Catalonia more than in England.
We can imagine that he is a solitary character and he likes the solitude because he has lived it all his life. To us, he is a strange character. Apart from being alone we can suppose that he is a person that has enjoyed his writing career.

This new explanation that Gabilondo, who is the minister of Eduction, offers that the obligation formation should get longer until eighteen years and Margall, who is the Managing Director of Education, thinks that he is very highly regarded this project. The goals that they want to fulfill are: to keep the pupils in the class a long time although they don’t like it. And the objective of LEC ( Catalan law of Education) is: to make up for the shortage from education.
I don’t agree with this offer to lengthen the obligations education of until eighteen. Because not all the people want to study or like to study and they want to work or to study a trade. Nowadays, in our educational situation most people don’t like to study and so it’s inconvenient for other people who want to learn because they upset the other pupils. So I think that, If Margall makes this law and in the end does it, the pupils, who don’t want to study , will upset the others. I believe that you can’t oblige somebody to study if he doesn’t want or like to because he doesn’t agree it and he will be uncomfortable and the teacher will waste the time and the student also. The important thing I believe is: to have a lot of willpower. For these reasons I think that the new law it not coherent.
